I needed a mascara and Mrs. Nielsen has been boasting about her new Guerlain discovery which she claimed to be non-smudging at all.

Now, I’m not sure if this is a problem of an undereye concealer or mascara, but I’ve been having this smudge problem for months with oh how many different mascaras. (Do you have this problem? It it really mascara or the wrong undereye treatment?)

So I went and got Le 2 de Guerlain Volumizing Mascara. It has two brushes: one is for applying mascara, the other foam-tipped end works as a “lash gloss” for a more dramatic effect.

If I needed one word to describe this product, it would be definition. It makes your eyelashes look like those of a doll. It’s not so much a volumiser, though – I’ve used mascaras which work better that way but the huge advantage of using this specific one is that eyelashes don’t get all cakey and you avoid looking like a hooker. (Not that I have a lot against them – just an advice for those willing to choose a different image.)

In general, I’d recommend this mascara to anyone appreciating a classic, “tidy” and impeccable look.
