Dreaming Plastic

by HelluvaGirl

I’ve been loving my Vivienne Westwood for Melissa three-stripe shoes for a long while now. I know it sounds creepy, but all you shoe lovers out there will understand me. Gosh, that sounds even creepier.

Ahem. Strangely, it was not until yesterday that I decided to browse the melissaplasticdreams.com. I’ve known they were all for sustainable development, recycled materials and innovative style – a very flattering combination both to the environment and us consumers. I was actually surprised to find out that the production of one model took less than a minute! And that the Brasilian based brand has collaborated with such outstanding pros as Zaha Hadid (Pritzker prize for architecture, 2004), Campana brothers, Judy Blame (fashion and jewellery designer), Karim Rashid, Alexandre Herchcovitch, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, Disney & The Little Prince as well as many others. 176 million pairs of shoes per year – and I have only one pair???

I took a better look at the models and here are some candylicious I desperately wanna share with you.

Clogh for a walk:

Office smart in Melissa Joy Flocado + Alex. H.:

…or in Melissa Kali:

Floaty dresses and Melissa Flowers + Isabela Capeto when it’s as hot as it is now:

…or Melissa Origami – for a more elegant stroll:

And sometimes you just feel grotesque – Melissa Numa + Love Foxx is a one great expression:

If Dorothy’s shoes were green, she’d been wearing those Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Mary Jane + Melissa. Yummy:

For a comfy walk + noticeable look – Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Melissa Wing:

After Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Melissa Ankle Boot was invented, you just can’t wait for the rain:

And when Friday comes, and you have this hot date… Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Melissa Lady Dragon:

I’m seriously considering wearing only plastic shoes. With all those unbelievable designs… Can’t wait till you guys start selling online!
